Can the US "have it all": 1) Industrial and manufacturing renaissance based on cheap natural gas feedstock which would create huge number of jobs 2) Foster the liberalization of the gas market, put downward pressure on gas global gas prices and help some of its key allies through LNG exports which would also contribute to US economy 3) Improve US national security through growing energy independence 4) Reduce pollution through increased coal-to-gas switching in power generation 5) Reduce pollution and transportation cost through the build-up of Natural Gas Vehicles network The implications of the North American shale gas boom are many and and the impact on the economy and geopolitics is only at its infancy.
